I talk to your venue and planner directly, in Spanish, and confirm timings, locations and details with them myself. You two stay out of the translation loop, and nothing gets lost on the day.
The other thing nobody warns you about: Spanish weddings run on Spanish time. Dinner at ten, dancing at one. A photographer who packs up at midnight misses half the party — so extended hours are my standard for destination weddings, not an add-on. I photograph across Jerez, Cádiz, Ronda and the Costa de la Luz, and my 2027 and 2028 calendars are open.
